Here we see how Ted Poe's reference child "Alexandrian" is more deserving of the human right of expression than all the men, woman, and children, Ted Poe labels "illegals". Ted Poe and the assumed to be legal resident middle schooler from Texas seem to agree, the more our border is militarized the more "justice". The language of invasion makes undocumented labors out as a idealogical driven war to occupy the Mother Land. In contrast to the realities of a disparate, desperate populations seeking work to sustain themselves and their families.

As immigration invasion is painted with the same rhetorical language as the war on some drugs and the war on some acts of terror, these laborers are vilified and othered so their pleas for justice, their stories of indefinite detentions and abuse can be ignored. Instead let us listen to the Texas middle schooler who has "the right" to speak. "Thats the way it is" according to Ted Poe.
